Owned and operated by the Longo family for three generations, this Greenwich Village institution has a tradition of offering the finest coffees and teas in the world since 1907. Coffees are roasted daily at the Porto Rico Importing Co. roaster in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Owner Peter Longo finds the best beans from around the world and offers a wide variety of Organic, Fair-Trade and Shade Grown coffees. Over 150 varieties of loose tea are available, as well as a large selection of tea bags. Mr. Longo works hard to ensure that the business stays true to its original tenets: Everyone is welcome. The coffees are murderously fresh. They are true to their origins and reflect the characteristics of their cup qualities. The prices are fair.
Top Hops To Go is the second outpost of the Top Hops original, located down on Orchard Street. It's a beer shop, tasting bar and culture center for craft and import beers, all in one establishment. It’s the kind of place where seasoned beer geeks can share their enthusiasm and new craft beer fans can learn a bit more about the magic combination of hops, yeast, barley and water.
Top Hops is not just a retail store — it’s a celebration of beer, and the good people who brew it. Here you'll find 50 specialty beers in bottles and cans, four rotating draft lines, and beer-inspired snacks from local vendors including Roni-Sue’s Chocolates, Rick’s Picks and Pop Karma.
